Guided By Science

At Bacanale, we started by focusing only on our formula.

With help from multiple 3rd party formulation experts and analytical labs, we set out to find the most effective ingredients that were also all-natural, plant-based, and gentle for 99% of the population.

We believe in the bold claims we make and will continue to update this page with any new research, even if it conflicts with our prior understanding

In a study of 54 participants, even with only 3 weeks of psyllium husk, "Total cholesterol was significantly decreased from 252+/-39mg/dl before treatment to 239+/-37mg/dl after 3 weeks of treatment. Similarly, low density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol decreased from 174+/-34 to 162+/-31mg/dl during the study."

Some participants did experience mild adverse GI reactions in the first week of psyllium husk, but symptoms lessened by week 2 and participants reported overall "positive" responses after the 4 weeks. We recommended anyone new to dietary fiber start slow that first week
